Welcome to
Proudly assisting Scotland's leading independent
distillers & bottlers within the New Chapter
What we do...
After a decade of strong growth—particularly in the single malt and prestige blended Scotch whisky segments, driven by a strategy of premiumisation—the Scotch whisky category is now entering a new chapter in its history. Traditionally, many distillers have focused on large-scale markets that offer greater exposure, often overlooking smaller or emerging markets still in the early stages of development.
At Malt & Pot Still Limited, our objective is to help distillers access and serve these underserved markets. We provide market intelligence, identify emerging trends, and support the development of new, consumer-centric or occasion-specific products.
No matter size or scale, we are here to assist and open up and execute possibilities and opportunities within the new chapter.
Signatory Vintage Introduction

Signatory Vintage is one of the world's most iconic independent whisky bottlers, which since its inception in 1988 by Andrew Symington has established itself as a leader among selectors of great single malts. Signatory's early beginnings saw Symington invest in what was then the smallest bottling plant in Scotland, starting with bottling Cask Strength whiskies, something that was quite unheard of in the 1980s: the first release was a 1968 Glenlivet ex-Sherry. In 2002, Symington bought the Edradour Distillery in Pitlochry, from which Edradour & Ballechin single malt are made.
In 2018, Signatory celebrated its 30-year anniversary releasing THE crown jewels of Scotch whisky.
In 2025 Edradour Single Malt celebrates its 200th Anniversary with several Limited Editions planned!
100 Proof Range
A consumer centric range development, designed for the whisky industry’s ‘next chapter’ within the global economic backdrop. The objective is to produce a win for partners, win for retailers and win for the end customer.
Drawing on enviable historical stocks from iconic distilleries & relationships built over 37 years, 100 Proof was designed to provide exceptionalvalue without compromising on quality desired by European whisky connoisseurs that has echoed in popularity within Asia & the USA.
100 Proof derives its name from the UK 16th Century Proof system to test the strength of alcohol. Gun powder was soaked with the spirit and then lit. If the gunpowder ignited the spirit was considered ‘proof.’
100 Proof was defined as the minimum strength at which the gunpowder would ignite, which equated to 57.15%.
The range split between 100 Proof (8 – 14 Year Old) and 100 Proof Exceptional Cask (15 Year Old+.)

Independently owned. In 1995 Andrew Symington purchased Edradour Distillery for £5.4 million from Pernod Ricard. | Established in 1825, Edradour celebrates its 200th Anniversary, born out of a co-operative of farmers that sought to produce whisky in rural Perthshire. | Smallest legal operational stills in Scotland, the distinct size and shape demonstrates Edradour's artisanal approach to curate a full bodied spirit. | Limited in use, worm tubs are a key component that promote and create a heavier style of distillate that complements Edradour's use of rich sherry cask maturation. | Foundations built on tradition & artisanal spirit are harmonised in the uncompromising use of highly sought after Andalusian Spanish sherry casks. |
